Third Day.
On the third day we went to St Junien. We were looking for the Hotel de Gare where the SS planned the massacre at Oradour Sur Glane. Although the hotel has long gone the building is still there. A very helpful SNCF worker from the station showed us where the hotel was and that the…

Day Two.

Day Two:Oradour Sur Glane
On the second day of our visit we visited the ruined village of Oradour Sur Glane, the theme for my play, All My Pretty Ones. 10th June 1944 the German SS entered the village and carried out indiscriminate murder and destruction. It was an extremely moving and memorable experience.
